Ok, I give up. I'm ready to use metric measurements and will buy a scale. What do you recommend?

Your baking will become much more consistent!

I use the Escali scale (Wirecutter pick as well). I previously had the OXO scale with the pull-out display, but it became very erratic and inaccurate over time.

You can also get started with $10 scale to see how it fits your life. For most recipes they will be accurate enough.
