Context: I associate Rancho Gordo beans with you and I thought you would be as outraged as I am about this development, lol. Also, I shouldn’t comment at 11 pm, sorry about that

A few years ago, on her blog The Wednesday Chef, Luisa Weiss wrote about Alison Roman’s Savory Granola. It is great! Went on a kick and it was the only granola I made for a couple of years. I had it over Eby Manor yogurt with diced tomatoes, diced cucumber, a drizzle of good olive oil, and a generous pinch of Maldon salt.

Once I finish my current batch of sweet granola, am looking forward to making your Morning Bun Inspired Granola.

That sounds amazing, I’ll have to try it!

Looking forward to hearing what you think of the morning bun granola.

The Morning Bun Inspired Granola is lovely! Started out following the Base Granola and so added a mixture of nuts and seeds as per your recipe (🤦‍♀️ maybe because it was 5am and hadn’t had coffee yet), then remembered to follow the proper recipe! The orange zest and bold spice amounts added are the game changers, and my kitchen smelled amazing! I only like raisins in my butter tarts, as you mentioned they’re optional, I mixed in chopped dates. (In this week’s flyer, FreshCo advertises 9 different types of dates for sale! I bought Medjool. A fellow customer assured me those were the ones to buy.) This is now my favourite sweet granola recipe. Mind you, I haven’t tried your Baklava, Coconut cream pie or Gingerbread variations, yet!
